Sintonía is a contemporary flamenco dance company created in 2018 by Fanny Ara and Marina Elana based in Oakland, California. The company’s mission is to create thought-provoking, culturally relevant dance productions though the powerful language of flamenco. By combining traditional elements of flamenco with contemporary movement and music, Sintonía wants to explore themes that will challenge social norms and inspire change​.

Ara and Elana have been friends and colleagues over the past 15 years and are excited to join forces to present their first production together, Tattooed, which premiered at the Presidio Theatre on October 4 & 5, 2019.
